Verbs: ALL CONJUGATIONS // IRREGULAR // CONDITIONAL // 3rd Person PRESENT // PHRASAL VERBS // PRACTICE
PRACTICE: Write 5 (or as many as you can) statements of each variation.

 

5 things you do regularly, all the time, every day, etc.

5 things you have done today, this week, or this year.

5 things you did yesterday, last night, last week, last month, or last year.


5 things you will / are going to do tonight, tomorrow, next week, or next year.

5 things you would / could do today, this week, or this year if circumstances were different.

5 things you would / could have done yesterday, last night, last week, last month, or last year.
if circumstances had been different.

 

Using the above verbal tenses, practice the following sentence constructions with all conjugations of verbs of your choice:

1. Positive: Most children like milk.
2. Negative: I do not like milk without chocolate.
3. Yes/No Questions: Do you like milk?
4. Yes/No Questions-Negative: Don't you like milk?
5. Wh-Questions: Why do you like milk?
6. Wh-Questions-Negative: Why don't you like milk?
7. Positive + Tag: You like milk, don't you?
8. Negative + Tag: You don't like milk, do you?

 

for example: feel
[[[Positive/Negative/Y-N/Y-N(n)/Wh-/Wh-(n)/Positive+Tag/Negative+Tag]]] x Present,Present Perfect,Past. Positive future. Positive Conditional. Positive Conditional Past.

1. Positive:

I feel great. I have felt great in the past 24 hours. I felt great when I finished the race. I will feel great tomorrow. I would have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken.
You feel great. You will feel great tomorrow. You have felt great in the 24 hours. You felt great when you finished that race. You would have felt great if you hadn't eaten that chicken ....

1.5 Positive with contractions

I feel great. I'll feel great tomorrow. I've felt great in the past 24 hours. I felt great when I finished the race. I would've felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken....

2. Negative

I do not feel great. I will not feel great tomorrow. I have not felt great in the past 24 hours. I did not feel great when I finished the race. I would not have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken....

2.5 Negative with contractions

I don't feel great. I won't feel great tomorrow. I haven't felt great in the past 24 hours. I didn't feel great when I finished the race. I wouldn't have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken....

 

3. Yes-No Question

Do I feel great? Will I feel great tomorrow? Have I felt great in the past 24 hours? Did I feel great when I finished the race? Would I have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken? ....

 

4. Yes-No Question /negative

Don't I feel great? Won't I feel great tomorrow? Haven't I felt great in the past 24 hours? Didn't I feel great when I finished the race? Wouldn't I have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken? ....


5. Wh- Questions

Why do I feel great? Why will I feel great tomorrow? Why have I felt great in the past 24 hours? Why did I feel great when I finished the race? Why would I have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken? ....

 

6. Wh- Questions / negative

Why don't I feel great? Why won't I feel great tomorrow? Why haven't I felt great in the past 24 hours? Why didn't I feel great when I finished the race? Why wouldn't I have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken? ....

 

7. Positive with Tag

I feel great, don't I? I will feel great tomorrow, won't I? I have felt great in the past 24 hours, haven't I? I felt great when I finished the race, didn't I? I would have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken, wouldn't I have? ....

8. Negative with Tag

I don't feel great, do I? I won't feel great tomorrow, will I? I haven't felt great in the past 24 hours, have I? I didn't feel great when I finished the race, did I? I wouldn't have felt great if I hadn't eaten that chicken, would I have? ....
